Why Choose Arboren Oak

Core Advantages

01
Genuine Solid Oak — No Plywood Core

Every plank is milled from a single piece of European Quercus robur. No veneers, no MDF core — just 18mm of pure solid hardwood with the natural grain running fully through. Refinishable up to 5 times over its lifetime.

02
Factory-Direct Pricing from China

We manufacture everything in-house at our 40,000 m² facility in Shandong, China. No intermediaries, no markups — you buy directly from the source. MOQ from 500 m² with competitive ex-works and FOB pricing.

03
Kiln-Dried to 6–8% Moisture Content

Our advanced kiln-drying process brings every batch to 6–8% EMC before machining, ensuring dimensional stability across climates from humid Southeast Asia to dry continental Europe and North America.

04
Hardwax-Oil & UV Lacquer Finishes

Choose from natural hardwax-oil (Osmo-compatible), UV-cured lacquer, brushed-oiled, or raw unfinished. Custom colour tints, wire-brushing, hand-scraping, and bevelled edges available on request.

05
Full OEM / ODM Capability

Private label, custom dimensions, bespoke packaging, and co-branded cartons. Our in-house design team handles artwork. Minimum customisation order from 500 m². Perfect for distributors, retailers, and project developers.

Instructions

Processing & Installation Guide

01

Acclimatise Before Installation

Leave sealed cartons flat in the installation room for 48–72 hours. The space should be at final service temperature (18–22°C) and humidity (45–65% RH). Do not open cartons until the acclimatisation period is complete. Failure to acclimatise may cause cupping or gapping after installation.

02

Subfloor Requirements

Subfloor must be flat (±3 mm over 1.8 m), structurally sound, dry (concrete: ≤75% RH / ≤3.5% CM), and clean. Concrete subfloors require a DPC (damp-proof course) membrane. Underfloor heating systems must maintain surface temperature ≤27°C with a moisture content difference ≤1.5% across the board width.

03

Installation Methods

Nail-down (secret nail every 200–300 mm) on timber subfloor ≥18 mm. Full-spread glue-down on concrete using MS-polymer adhesive (D4 class). Floating installation only for our 15 mm profile with underlay. Always leave 10–15 mm expansion gap around all fixed perimeters. Do not glue across doorways between different rooms — use transition strips.

04

Post-Installation Care

Allow adhesive to cure 24 hours before foot traffic, 72 hours before furniture. For oil-finished floors: re-oil after 6–12 months initial use, then annually. Use pH-neutral cleaners only. For lacquered floors: clean with a lightly damp mop. Avoid steam cleaners, excessive water, and abrasive pads. Felt pads on all furniture legs are mandatory.

05

Site Cutting & Machining

Use fine-toothed carbide-tipped saw blades. Always cut face-down with circular saws to prevent surface tear-out. Seal all cut ends immediately with compatible wood end-grain sealer to prevent moisture ingress from exposed raw wood. Tongue-and-groove should be protected and not cut if possible.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum order quantity?

The standard MOQ is 500 m² per species and grade combination. For OEM / private label orders, the minimum is 1,000 m². Sample orders (1–5 m²) are available at sample price plus shipping. Contact arboren@arboren.com to request a formal quotation.

Can I order custom dimensions not listed in your standard range?

Yes. We produce custom widths (up to 220 mm), custom lengths (up to 3,000 mm), and custom thicknesses (14 mm, 18 mm, 20 mm, 22 mm). Custom mould setup may apply for non-standard tongue-and-groove profiles. Lead time for first custom production is typically 30–40 days.

Is your European Oak genuinely sourced from Europe?

Yes. We import raw European Oak logs and sawn timber from France, Germany, and Eastern Europe with full FSC chain-of-custody documentation. The milling and finishing takes place in our China factory, which is standard practice for the global hardwood flooring industry. Documentation available upon request.

Can solid wood flooring be used with underfloor heating?

Yes, with conditions. Our kiln-dried solid oak (6–8% MC) is suitable for UFH systems provided the surface temperature does not exceed 27°C and the system is brought up to temperature gradually (increase by 1°C per day). Wider planks (≥150 mm) should use glue-down installation with UFH. We recommend our 14–15 mm profile for UFH applications.

How long does production and shipping take?

Standard production: 25–35 working days after receipt of deposit and confirmed order. Sea freight to European ports: 25–35 days. To US East Coast: 30–40 days. To Middle East: 18–25 days. Air freight is available for urgent samples (3–5 days, buyer's cost). We provide weekly production updates with photos.

Do you offer OEM / private label manufacturing?

Absolutely. OEM and ODM are core services at Arboren. We can produce flooring under your brand name with custom carton design, stamp, and documentation. We require written confirmation of your brand ownership. Minimum 1,000 m² for OEM. Your designs and brand assets are kept strictly confidential under NDA.

What payment terms do you offer?

Standard terms: 30% T/T deposit to confirm order, 70% T/T balance against copy of Bill of Lading. For established long-term clients, L/C at sight is available. For first-time buyers, we also accept trade finance through trade assurance platforms. All prices quoted in USD ex-works or FOB.
